Earlier work: Clockwork (animation)
A child searches for what is loved and lost—and dreams his way to find her.
My art journey continued in animation classes at the University of Oregon (in the early 2000s).

Developing the story
In a dark house, a boy is searching for something dear. A mysterious experience occurs, and he finds her inside the clock and holds her close.
Here, I’m using storyboarding to brainstorm ideas and how it might look:
What if the child became very small and needed to climb up the clock to find her?
To develop the character's look, I made character sketches and built a 3D model. I then added color, texture, and lighting.
I immensely enjoyed designing the clock—the rich, warm colors and creating a sense of mystery.
What was dear to the child was created using a photo of a treasured doll from my childhood.
